Passages Program for Trauma-Focused Treatment

For girls in need of mental health treatment, Passages provides a variety of services with a strong emphasis on behavior modification. Females admitted into this program may be struggling with anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), substance abuse or other mental illnesses.

Foundations for Living provides integrated treatment, rehabilitation, and case management in a therapeutic setting.

Our specialty services include:

  • Diagnostic assessment and treatment
  • Individual, group and family therapy
  • Psychiatric evaluation and pharmacological management
  • 24/7 nursing services for medicinal administration, monitoring of side effects, medical education, and treatment
  • Neurofeedback and Biofeedback

Treatment for Self-injurious Youth

Youth often use self-injury to cope with anxiety or depression, to feel control, to manage intolerable feelings, to reenact trauma, to relieve stress, to have visible wounds, and for many other reasons.

Self-injurious behavior may be cutting, scratching, punching, and/or burning oneself often typically on arms, legs, chest, abdomen or genitals. Youth may harm themselves with razors, shoestrings, writing instruments, glass, plastic, and so forth.

Our trained staff will assist youth by:

  • Teaching them how to identify self-harm triggers
  • Teaching emotional regulation and,
  • Teaching safe coping strategies to express emotions.

Foundations for Living offers a specialized treatment milieu that includes: a secure environment with 24 hour supervision, structured setting, and low client to staff ratio. Our Master’s prepared licensed mental health professionals specialize in treating PTSD, Anxiety Disorders, and Depression.
